Exciting Expansion at Caulfield Aquatics: National Age Squad Announcement

Caulfield Aquatics is proud to announce a significant milestone in the development of its program: the introduction of a new National Age Squad to be launched late April. This exciting expansion will provide an enhanced pathway for swimmers aspiring to compete at the national level, reinforcing the club’s commitment to developing athletes of all backgrounds and levels.

The new National Age Squad is designed to offer a more focused, tailored training program for swimmers ready to take their skills to the next level. In addition to this, Caulfield Aquatics will be recruiting a National Age Coach to guide the squad, ensuring young athletes are provided with the opportunity to excel on the national stage.

“Our mission at Caulfield Aquatics has always been to support swimmers in achieving their personal and athletic best,” said Kenrick Monk, Head Coach at Caulfield Aquatics. “This new squad represents an exciting opportunity for our athletes to receive targeted coaching at a crucial stage of their development. We can’t wait to see them thrive under this new program.”

The National Age Squad is part of the club’s ongoing dedication to creating opportunities for swimmers at every stage of their journey. The program will provide the necessary resources, support, and expert coaching to ensure that athletes have everything they need to succeed.

Michael Hall, Director of Sport at Caulfield Grammar, also expressed strong support for the initiative: “The introduction of the National Age Squad is an incredible opportunity for our swimmers. It fills an important gap in the current program and will give our athletes the coaching and support they need to compete at the highest levels. We’re excited to see our swimmers take full advantage of this new initiative.”

The National Age Squad comes as part of Caulfield Aquatics’ continued growth, and the club is committed to meeting the needs and expectations of both athletes and their families.

A revised timetable, including the National Age Squad, will be released in early April, with the program set to begin at the start of Term 2. After the 2025 National Championships in April, swimmers who qualify for the National Age Squad will be notified through discussions with their coaches. Parents will also receive written notifications regarding squad placement.

Caulfield Aquatics is looking forward to the positive impact the National Age Coach will have on their swimmers and is excited to see their athletes continue to grow and achieve new heights.

Stay tuned for further updates as Caulfield Aquatics continues to support the growth and success of our swimmers!
